"The Amazing Book of Mormon Race"

We were asked by the Young Men president if we could host one of the Book of Mormon amazing race pit stops. The youths clue was somthing about the Lamanites. It told them to go to where the "brown people live". Get it, the lamanites and the Browns! The whole thing was supposed to be a re-enactment of Samual the Lamanite when he had arrows shot at him on the wall. Their whole team had to shoot a real bow and arrow and hit the target before they could get their next clue.  There were about thirty youth here. It was a lot of fun! Before they all got here my kids asked if they could get in on the action.  Surprisingly they hit the target! They must have a little of their Uncle Randy and Uncle LeRoy's blood in them!

"Tina" the Lama!

"Eat your food Tina you fat lard!!" This is a quote from one of our favorite movies, Napolean Dynamite.  Napolean has a pet Lama named Tina and he feeds her casserole! The kids kept calling this Lama Tina.  I was afraid it would spit at us.  You can't see in this picture but it had these huge buck teeth.  She just kept staring at us with these huge teeth.  She was a sweet Lama just waiting for her casserole!
This was a nice Saturday afternoon that we spent in Oak Glen.  We needed to get out and away from house work for a while.  We decided to take the kids to Oak Glen for some lunch and adventure! It was really fun and it brought back a lot of childhood memories.  On our drive home I asked Clint to drive past some homes where my old childhood friends had lived.  The kids loved to hear my stories, some were funny and some were sad.  I think it was a great break for all of us on a nice Saturday afternoon!
Pucker up cutie give your Daddy a big kiss!
The kids looking at the animals in the petting zoo!
Apple Cider fresh off the press
Pearce making everyone laugh! He is a little goof in the making!

Night Night cousin!

Cousins and best buddies! They wanted to have a sleep over but we knew that wouldn't go over very well with a two year old and a three year old! So, we let them stay up late together and get redy for bed.  Bath time was full of play time.  Lotion time was full of giggles.  Pajama time was full of decisions over who got to wear what and cuddle time was full of love for each other! Pearce held Drew's hand as he walked him downstairs to say good night.  It was so cute and I am sure there will be many more real sleep overs to come with these two cousin buddies!

St. Patrick's Day flop!

Usually the leprechaun comes and leaves his foot prints while he hides gold coins and  lucky charms.  Sadly he didn't bring his treasure this year.  Brock kept asking,  "Mom do you think the Leprechaun made our food green?"  Clint brought him his cereal and amazingly the milk had turned green.  That night for dinner we ate green pancakes and green eggs.  The kids loved it but they were still confused why the Leprechaun didn't bring gold coins and lucky charms! I said maybe he hid them somewhere and we will find them later!  I am sure some day soon we will find the Leprechaun's hidden treasure!

A "lover" and a "fighter"

The boys were just fighting over who gets to hold Comfy first.  Looks like Pearce won! Comfy is an out door cat but we let him in if the kids are holding him or if he just wants to visit.  Comfy is such a lover but he is also a fighter.  I am sad to report that comfy caught a baby rabbit! At about 9:00 thursday night Clint heard this weird screaming noise.  He went out in the front and saw comfy darting accross the street.  Clint ran in and got a flash light and yelled, "I think comfy is catching something!" With glee and excitment he ran out to investigate clicking his heels the whole way! Payton and I ran out with concern and sadness for what ever Comfy was catching.  To our horror it was a baby rabbit!  To top off the sadness the rabbit was screaming like a real human baby.  We rounded Comfy up and put him back in the garage.  Well the next morning at 5:00 Clint was out on the balcony saying I hear the scream again.  When we woke up Comfy had left us a presant on our back porch right where he had left the mouse.  The kids and I were all sad and Clint was proud of Comfy because he is "improving" his hunting skills.  I hope that he will just stick with mice and lizards.

These are our friends the Markhams.  We were going to have them for dinner but Brock and their baby got sick.  We decided to exchange some of our dinner for some of their delicious dessert.  Steve made yummy cookies, brownies and ice cream.  Thank you Markhams what a treat!!

Payton loves to cook.  She made most of the dinner tonight.  She made stirfry, rice, salad and french bread. She did such a good job and we were all proud of her.

Pretty little Pay Pay

Payton has found her new favorite dress.  She loves the way it flows when she spins around.  She has been so happy today just singing and dancing around in her cute spring dress. I just love my little girl!

Here he comes to save the day!

Pearce is always a different super hearo every day.  Some days like today he turns into  several different super heros.  We love his imagination!!

After dinner he turned into Mr. Incredibles.  He was showing off his muscles!!

This is after his nap thus the droopie face.  He wanted his Super Man jacket on before his nap.  When he put it on he said he was a cool dude and that he wanted his skate board!

Before bed he wanted to be Spiderman! He is holding his head because he just got done wresteling with Brock. He insisted on sitting on the floor and posing for this picture.

"My glubs"

"Mommy where's my glubs?" If he doesn't have it on he is asking where it is.  This is Pearce's spiderman glove that he wears almost anywhere.  It used to be Brocks and now he has staked his claim on it.  I am sure it is breeding a sluew of bacteria families. It did come in the bath with him yesterday though!  The goggels are the latest gear he has added to his ensemble.  They are his Handy Manny goggels.  He wore them to his cousins baptism.  He is so funny and makes us laugh every day!

Brittney Barbara's Birthday!

This is Payton's cabbage patch kid Brittney.  It was her "birthday" so we decided to have a tea party birthday for her.  We had pink lemonade, home made donuts and a birthday cake fit for a princess.  The girls had fun and they enjoyed me reading them the history of the cabbage patch doll.  It was a sweet party and I am sure Payton will remember this for a long time!!

Tea anyone?

Clint took the kids on the tea cups.  He got them spinning so fast that the pictures turned out blurry by the end.  Pearce was laughing so hard! The kids loved every minute of the spin!

In the cold and even the rain!

Mishka Mushka Mickey Mouse!!

Yes, we go to Dillsney Land (that is how we say it)  just about every other week.  We love it there!  This is a brick that my sister bought for my parents because my Mom just loves it there.  She was there the first week it opened and she has ben in love with it ever since that day. I guess she passed on the love to me and I am passing on the love to my family.
